From a Simple Recording to an Evolving Rhythmic Texture

In the fourth episode of our Soundbox Tips series, we start with something deliberately ordinary: a glass struck with a soft mallet. From that single recording, we’ll build a playable Soundbox patch filled with rhythm, movement and evolving textures.
This time, we’re exploring the relationship between arpeggios and loops—and how processed versions of the same source can be brought back together inside Soundbox to create something far richer than the original recording might suggest.

With multisampling, multiple velocities and round robins, this kind of technique can become even more organic and expressive.
