QUART is a cinematic string quartet instrument for Audiomodern Soundbox, designed to create intricate rhythmic arrangements with speed, expression, and musical control.
Built from carefully performed rhythmic loops by cello, viola, violin 1, and violin 2, QUART lets you combine the natural interplay of a small string ensemble with the immediacy of a modern performance engine.

Simply play chords or melodic ideas, and the loops follow your musical direction, allowing you to create sophisticated quartet textures that move, breathe, and evolve with your performance.

Four Players, One Living Arrangement.

QUART focuses on the expressive power of a small string ensemble. Cello, viola, and two violins are arranged across 10 rhythmic setups, each designed to work as a complete quartet idea while still allowing users to mix and match parts for new combinations.

Use all four layers for full rhythmic interplay, or isolate individual instruments when a cue needs restraint. Each part has enough character to contribute musically on its own, while the full ensemble creates rich movement and dramatic momentum.

The content is organised into 10 arrangements, but the real strength is flexibility: users can mix and match parts to create new rhythmic relationships, unexpected counterpoint, and fresh quartet textures.
