ARCOTONE

ArcoTone is built from a curated collection of bowed, scraped, scratched and fractured tones taken from the same studio sessions that produced the atmospheric materials of Micron Drama, Thorns, and Fragile. These are not reused sources, but newly selected performances designed specifically to work as a cohesive Soundbox pack.

Featuring violins, violas, cello, bowed zithers, bowed guzheng, bowed guitars, and more, Arcotone captures imperfection, pressure and fragility — the raw tension of bow hair against string, breaking tones, pitch bends, and unpredictable textures. Used alone, each sound carries dramatic weight; used in four-layer Soundbox patches, they become complex, evolving cinematic soundscapes.
